Abstract:

King Henry VIII has become one of the most infamous monarchs in the world. Known for claiming himself the head of the Church and having six wives. Henry had one of the most unique experiences as King. The King had many wives and children from places all across Europe who were all in his life at certain times. Most however didn’t outlive the King. This Story Map shows those important individuals from Henry’s life where they were born, and what they were known for.

This book is about henry VIII and his wives. It provides a deeper understanding of different people in Henry’s life as well as his life growing up and as he passed away. The author’s thesis is just to provide you with information about all the different people that entered Henry VIII’s life. The book was published in 1973 however it provides information on each of the six wives in Henry’s life and how they shaped him. It also tells me when he was born. This is going to help give my story map a better flow.

The book is about the wives of King Henry VIII. The author provides lots of information on each of the six wives in King Henry’s life. As well as a more in-depth story of their own lives and how they ended up with Henry. The book is definitely for people interested in the Tudor Dynasty. It also tells me where all of his wives were born. The book was published in 1993 and I found it in the library. This book will help me write better summaries of each of the wives.

This source will help provide information on Mary I and her reign over England. It provides insight into how she was as a ruler the first queen of England and what measures she took to protect her Catholic rule in a protestant country at the time. I found this source on Proquest and it was published in 1994. With this source, I will be able to provide more information on her rule in my Storymap.

This article discusses the impact of Elizabeth I’s reign and how she shaped history throughout time. I really like how it expresses the difficulties of her reign and her struggles as a woman in power in a man’s world. As well as information on what she has inspired throughout her life throughout the medieval period. The source was made in 2003 and I found it by typing in Elizabeth the I of England Reign on ProQuest. This source will better my StoryMap in relation to the slide on Elizabeth. Where I will be able to provide a more descriptive explanation of her rule in a paragraph.

This article includes a lot of information about the Catholic reformation and provides information on Edward VI’s role in how he helped push the protested agenda in England and moves England further away from its previous Catholic ways. This source was made in 2022 and I found it by typing in Edward VI of England’s reign. The article is going to help me formulate my paragraph for my Edward VI slide and information on his rule.

It provides lots of interesting facts about her life and what she is well known for outside of just being the last wife of Henry. As well as some look into her life after his death. This article was made in 2016 and I found it by typing in King Henry VIII’s wives. The article will help make a better paragraph on Catherines Parr’s life.
